About ARG
From a software company in 1991 to Trident Research.
Research, since 1991
- 1991The R&D movement at Trident Group of Institutions (TGI) begins with the setup of Trident Software Pvt. Ltd. (TSPL).
- 1997The desire for R&D emerges as the Spatial Planning & Analysis Research Centre (SPARC).
- LaterTGI takes a bold step by establishing the Advanced Research Group (ARG), today shown as Trident Research (TR), a core function of TGI.
Our Chief Mentor, a man with a strong passion for setting up a world-class technical institution and a deep inclination towards societal and industrial research, understood the significance of research in technical institutions. The prime objective of ARG, now carried on as Trident Research, is to attain the destined R&D goals by providing world-class research, development, consultancy and extension services.
As a challenging ladder to success, TGI has adopted innovation in education through research as a significant part of its academic activity, to achieve quality and excellence. TGI believes in working in small, focused groups to succeed in research across diverse fields of application.
The whole is greater than the sum of its parts
- Holism
- Ambition
- Networking
- Realism
Holism, ambition, networking and realism are the fundamental components of Trident Research’s viewpoint. Despite infrastructural limitations, the available technical manpower has adopted networking as its approach to excellence, linking as far as possible with experts and organisations inside and outside.
The research groups that make up ARG work cooperatively to identify and start fundamental interdisciplinary research, and to propose multi-disciplinary projects that bring industry and academia together. They create and combine patentable intellectual property, design and develop prototypes and proofs of concept, manage and market products and solutions through incubated companies, and win and deliver funded research projects.
