Infrastructure

A serene campus in the heart of Bhubaneswar, near Infocity.

Classrooms, administration and laboratories

Spaces for curricular activity

To ensure high-quality technical education, the college provides the best possible infrastructure: spacious classrooms, laboratories and separate seminar halls for each department, a central library, a mini conference room and an English Language Proficiency Cell. The central auditorium seats 400 for institute-level presentations, and the college provides chambers and discussion rooms for faculty.

Technology-enabled learning spaces and a smart classroom in each of the six blocks are used frequently by every department. Technical quizzes, GDs, paper presentations, software contests, extempore and mock interviews are conducted as part of club activities.

Library

A fully computerised central library

  • 17,000
    Book volumes
  • 274
    E-journals
  • 275
    ScienceDirect articles
  • 25
    IEEE articles

The library also provides an e-learning facility, a digital library, a reading room and a reference section. Operations are computerised, with search, indexing and issue and return records, and books are managed with bar-code readers by an in-house library management package.

Library services run through the college intranet e-governance, so students and faculty can access digital resources from the library server. Access over the internet is being scaled up.

Computers, LAN and internet

Computing for every student

The college has state-of-the-art computer laboratories, a campus-wide LAN and a wireless network backbone of 1000 Mbps. There are 600 systems with a computer-to-student ratio of 1:4 for UG and 1:1 for PG, with dedicated internet. The college website is dynamic, designed by faculty and maintained in-house.
