Scholarships
Government scholarships open to MCA and MBA students.
Who can apply
MCA and MBA
The following scholarships from the Government of Odisha and the Government of India are available to students of the MCA and MBA programmes.
Government of India
National Scholarship
- •Awarded to poor and meritorious students for post-matric study, through the Director of Higher Education.
- •The student must be a permanent resident of Odisha.
- •Annual parental income from all sources must not exceed Rs 4.50 lakh.
- •Eligibility is based on the rank in the OJEE joint entrance examination.
- •Rate: Rs 10,000 per annum.
Government of Odisha
Medhabruti (merit scholarship)
- •Awarded to meritorious students for post-matric study, through the Director of Higher Education.
- •The student must be a permanent resident of Odisha, with parental income not above Rs 6 lakh a year.
- •For technical and professional courses there is no minimum mark; the award follows the OJEE rank.
- •Half of the PG merit scholarships are reserved for girls, with no income ceiling.
- •Rate: Rs 10,000 per annum for professional technical courses; Rs 12,000 per annum for special girls’ merit.
SC, ST and OBC students
Prerana
- •The student must be a permanent resident of Odisha.
- •Annual parental income must not exceed Rs 1 lakh for OBC and Rs 2 lakh for SC and ST.
- •The student must have scored 50% in the last qualifying examination.
Minority students
MOMA
- •For meritorious and economically weaker students of any minority community (Muslim, Christian, Sikh, Buddhist or Parsee), from Odisha or any other state.
- •Annual family income must be below Rs 2.5 lakh.
- •The student must have scored 50% in the last qualifying examination.
