Cleaning
Daily, twice daily and weekly
An outside contractor, at a cost of about Rs 30 lakh a year, takes care of cleaning and sanitation inside and outside the academic and hostel buildings. Common areas, including academic buildings, toilets and hostel corridors, are cleaned daily.
Hostel rooms are cleaned by residents daily and by the contractor once a week. A dustbin outside every room is emptied daily, and toilet blocks in academic buildings and hostels are cleaned twice a day with disinfectant.
